Good luck to all the teams and drivers who are entered in NCR Region's VIR 13 Hour this weekend. And a big thanks to all the volunteers and workers that are making this year's event possible.

We also want to make a few announcements:

PHOTOS:
First, if your team needs photos, please be aware that Richard Hunter is available for this event, but we need to know quick. Many of you may know Richard as he has been around for numerous years photographing Club races on the East Coast. If you need team photos for this event from Richard, you will receive a digital CD of high-res photos of your team, car and drivers. Please email us today and let us know if you would like to reserve team photos for your group. Please include your phone number.

LAUNCHING OF ENDURANCE ROAD RACES.com

Second, you probably noticed the screen capture attached to this message!
We would like to announce that VIR13hour.com will be merged soon into a new, full-featured forum and networking website dedicated solely for Endurance Racing. We have been working a long time on the website and had hoped to have it up and running prior to the 13 Hour. Unfortunately the site development work took longer than expected and we were unable to finalize elements of the site prior to this event. The trigger will be pulled on the website and it will be launched next week to dovetail with the end of the 13 Hour and the ARRC Enduro. We hope you can share your stories about the 13 hour race online with us when the site is live.

The initial launch of EnduranceRoadRaces.com will include greatly expanded forum sections that encompass ALMS, Grand AM, SCCA, NASA and Lemons endurance races. Endurance racing is a group effort and many of the teams, drivers, organizers, workers and volunteers participate in all, or some of these series. We have been managing several independent forums and it made sense to merge several forums into a single source for endurance racing. By doing so, we hope to provide a platform that should help all events, teams, drivers, track owners, workers, organizers and suppliers to grow as a whole.

Over the coming months into the 2010 racing season we will be unfolding unique features of the site in steps. First, will be the Forums and industry news sections for all US Endurance Racing. A sneak peek of screen captures is included in this email.

Second, will be the unfolding of many useful membership features on the backend of the site that will allow members to present their racing information online in a professional fashion. You won't need to be a webmaster to present your material professionally online. Intuitive tools and online interfaces will be in place for members to present blogs, news, press releases, event information, driver bios, resumes, photo and video galleries, classifieds, vendor and supplier information/advertising, all in a central online community focused exclusively on the endurance racing industry. The tools for bios and information will be very specific to this industry. They will not be generic.

In the upcoming weeks, we are looking fot Beta Testers with experience in the motorsports industry that may be interested in pre-testing the member area of the site and evaluating some of the online tools that will be available.

Ideally, we are looking for computer oriented individuals and experienced, knowledgeable motorsports web surfers that can provide feedback and input about features we are building into the backend of the site. If you currently have motorsports news content, photos, bio material, blogs and other online information, that is a big plus for consideration. We are not just looking for drivers. If you're a worker, organizer, PR rep, or industry supplier, please feel free to contact us. If you are interested in being considered as a Beta Tester, email us with your contact information and any relevant industry information or website links. Please include your phone number in your email.

If you have any ideas how you might could contribute, or partner with the site, please share it with us. We welcome your input and feedback.

Good luck to all the entrants and teams this weekend at VIR and we hope to see you online soon at our new home @ EnduranceRoadRaces.com

Sincerely,
Forum Management
