Welcome to the VIR 13 Hour Forum!
This forum was established to assist teams, drivers and organizers with the coordination, implementation and organization of the SCCA-sanctioned 13-hour endurance race held annually at Virginia International Raceway. The event is now in its 5th year of operation and historically runs in the early fall during October/November.
Long enduros take more effort, work and coordination than sprint races. With this in mind, the primary goal of this forum is to facilitate communication among everyone involved with the event. This forum was established by fellow SCCA members, and the development, hosting, and moderation of the website is done on a voluntary basis.
We hope you will take the time to sign up as a member to this forum and share your input and your experiences from racing in the 13 Hour in past events.
Before jumping into the forum we ask that you read the following guidelines to make your experience in the forum (as well as the experience of others) a positive one.
This forum is about racing and the VIR 13 Hour. It is not about politics, religion, philosophy, etc.... There are many forums on the web for these other issues. Try to keep it to racing as much as possible.

Posting of remotely hosted images in this forum is allowed. Images can not exceed a width of 575 pixels. Posts with images exceeding this width will be edited and the image removed. We are not regulating the size of the images because we are mean, but to make the site easy to view by members.
Avatars
Avatars are allowed in the forum. They must be hosted remotely. Maximum Avatar size is: 110 pixels width x 140 pixels height. Please observe the size limitations imposed on Avatars for the same reasons mentioned
above.
Very simple: Posts to this forum must be civil and friendly.
Profanity, abuse, insults and other negative behavior will not be tolerated. Offensive images are not allowed in the forum. We reserve the right to decide what is offensive. If you abuse these policies, be aware that you will incur the wrath of Bruno.
Bruno is here to keep order in the house. He has the authority to remove and expel members without notice. Bruno is a silent partner in this forum.
Additionally, we have appointed Gussie The Gun Collector as Chief Moderator.
As the Chief, Gussie is the go-between man for Bruno and deals mainly with squabbles between neighbors. Usually, if there is an infraction, you will hear from Gussie first. However, he has complete authority to pass the matter directly to Bruno. If you hear from Bruno first, your infraction is major.
No commercial advertising is allowed in forum posts. Bruno is watching. If you are interested in advertising, please contact us by e-mail: admin (at) vir13hour.com
As a courtesy to teams and drivers looking for rides, we have provided a Team-Crew-Driver Ride Board for the purpose of networking drivers and crew with teams. Please post messages related to rental seats and rental cars that are available for this event under the "Driver & Team Ride Board" only. If you need to talk about rentals in the other areas of the forum, please make a friendly comment like "see my advertisement in the Driver/Team ride board" and continue your discussions by PM or e-mail dialogue. Posts on the Driver & Team Ride Board must be for THIS event only.
